Introduction.ps.gz   
                    a compressed Postscript file describing the benchmarks
                    in general

Whole_documentation.ps.gz
                    a compressed Postscript file describing the benchmarks
                    in general PLUS a description of all circuits completed 
                    so far, i.e. Introduction.ps.gz is included here.
                    
                    *** Hence this file contains ALL the *.ps files to be 
                        found in each circuit directory               ***


History.txt         the version history of the benchmarks

Library.vhdl        the base module library 
                    (details can be found in Introduction.ps.Z)


<circuit>            a directory for each benchmark circuit

<circuit>.tar.Z      a compressed tar file of the directory <circuit>
                     (may be missing for some or all circuits)

pending              subdirectory with additional circuits, which will
                     probably be added to the benchmark set in the
                     near future. For these circuits the documentation
                     may be still incomplete or inconsistent. 

Everyone is strongly encouraged to get the file Introduction.ps.Z or
Whole_documentation.ps.Z, perform a UNIX "uncompress" and prints the 
file to a standard Postscript printer before proceeding further.
